The project is the second international deaf theater festival in Iceland, called Draumar (Dreams) 2009. The festival will be held in Reykjavik at the National Theater of Iceland in spring 2009. At least two different Nordic theaters, one European one, and one outside Europe will be invited to participate. The festival will include theater performances, workshops and lectures and the theme this time is “sign language - theater language”. The primary aim of the project is to bring together professional theaters within the deaf community to establish networking and cooperation in the future, especially within the Nordic countries.
